The Phils are wrapping up their 4-game series in Cincinnati now.  They won Thursday night before dropping the last two.  They are sitting at 58-46 on the season, in first place in the NL East, 2 and a half games ahead of the Braves.

But before I go, the Phils beat the Nats 4-3 tonight at the Bank to close to 2 games behind the division-leading Braves.  Aaron Nola was dominant again and despite the bullpen almost blowing another one, it was a nice win.  Only 2 games out at the end of June.  Better than I could have hoped.  BUT, there is still a lot of work to be done!

10:54am On Wednesday night, August 1st, my niece Shannon gave birth to her son Dominic, her first child.  He is just beautiful.  Congrats to Shan and her husband Brandon.  I am now a great-uncle!  :)
